Construction and Erection Management
PBAP provides clients with innovative turnkey site solutions. This comprehensive service includes meeting all project
requirements from the provision of labour and equipment to ensuring that all project constraints are taken into account and all relevant ISO standards are adhered to. The company undertakes to coordinate and oversee all sub-contractors that provide supplementary or specialized services to the project. This includes ensuring that all sub-contractors meet the project deadlines and are in compliance with the client’s SHE policies during the execution of work.
We have undertaken site construction of pre-assembled modular structures to complete recovery deckhouses when the
project constraints demand it. PBAP has the technical knowledge to fabricate and erect HDPE piping, carbon steel and carbon steel rubber lined pipe-work as well as plate-work; conveyors; hand-railing; polyurethane and steel grating. We have used
solid steel or wooden decks on some marine mining vessels.

Electrical Engineering
We are involved in the selection of a vast array of electrical equipment, management of the manufacture of electrical
systems and project management of electrical installations and logic control systems. The full spectrum is covered from small distribution boards, motor control centres, containerized switchgear to automation of machinery by means of programmed logic control systems to fully suit client requirements. All design, manufacture, and implementation complies with standards and
safety regulations relevant to the desired industry, as safety is of paramount importance to us and our clients.
Process Engineering
Our experience in deep sea diamond mining sets us apart as leaders in marine modular diamond treatment plant design
particularly in diamond recovery plant design. Over the years we have improved our design philosophy to cater for plants
that are suited for installations with extreme weight and footprint limitations. Our compact plant design approach has been
refined to provide solutions that are cost effective without compromising process efficiency. The recent Recovery Plant
Upgrade onboard the mv Debmar Atlantic was commissioned from C3 to C4 within five days and final handover within two weeks.
- Commissioning
Our engineers have extensive commissioning experience gained in commissioning a variety of plants in the diamond mining industry. In the past two years our engineers have been involved in the commissioning of more than five capital projects.
- Commissioning Equipment Testing & Development
We offer equipment testing facilities and the development of unproven technology prior to use in our designs. This reduces the risk of the process not meeting design targets due to the use of new technology that is included in the PFD. We also engage suppliers of equipment to work with us in technology development.
